Supplemental Discussion Nights Are Back!

Supplemental Discussion
The WR Nonviolence regular Tuesday night meetings are “plenary sessions”, where we plan upcoming events like Day In The Park or IDOPAN. Although the agenda gives 15 minutes for talking about our experiences with nonviolence during the week, we invariably exceed the 15 minutes, so we need this Supplemental Discussion night to give us the time we need to talk about nonviolence without the pressure of adhering to an agenda.

The first meeting for this Supplemental Discussion series will be the first Thursday in December, the 5th. We can decide from there what the best date for future Supplemental Discussions will be.

Pictures: 2018 International Day of Peace: Supplemental Discussion

On the United Nations International Day of Peace on Friday, 21 September 2018 members of WR Nonviolence and friends met to talk about peace. This was a Supplemental Discussion Night, to complement our regular project planning meetings held every Tuesday. The topic was supposed to be Finding Peace In Our Local Community, but discussion strayed to politics, and also on how to engage people in the community to participate in the projects put on by WR Nonviolence.

Participating were Peter, Michael, Allan, Barb and William, who were joined by David, Laurel and Bob. Unfortunately, Barb and William had to leave before Laurel had a chance to take pictures.
